Engineer Specialist - Architecture & Engineering EC - TC26 (Evanston, IL)
Salary: $158,000 - $185,000 per year
Location: Evanston, IL and various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Job Role and Responsibilities: ZS's Architecture & Engineering EC practice focuses on developing, building, and managing scalable technology architectures, particularly within the life sciences and healthcare industries, to support business growth, innovation, and client deliverables. Job Duties: Develop and deploy complex technology solutions that meet clients' objectives, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Stay current on latest technology platform offerings, emerging technologies and its domain specific applications, industry trends, and solution patterns. Contribute to developing POVs and conducting market scans for strategic decision making, drafting CXO memos and guiding project teams on best practices and implementation patterns. Provide effective contributions to business development pursuits spanning solution approach & alternatives. Lead a team of developers to enable effective data engineering, data analysis, and reporting. Provide highest quality of deliverables by ensuring team is following architecture/design guidelines and coding best practices. Mentor junior practitioners through coaching & project level guidance. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their challenges/goals, quality metrics, and IT standards and deliver outcomes aligned to client expectations. Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions with client/project stakeholders. May work at various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Qualifications: Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a technology or architectural engineering or consulting-related role. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a technology or architectural engineering or consulting-related role.
Position requires experience with the following:
1. Mentoring a technical team on Generative AI (GenAI) and machine learning (ML) projects;
2. Client-facing experience;
3. Building and automating data pipeline, orchestration, and ingestion processes;
4. ML platform Dataiku, Sagemaker, MLFlow and similar to streamline the ML lifecycle, from data preparation and model development to deployment and monitoring;
5. AWS, Azure and GCP for deploying models to cloud services;
6. Data processing and analytics platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark and DBT; and
7. Business development activities, including drafting RFP responses, effort estimation, and resource loading.
