Job Description:

This position is accountable to validate process conditions for Wet focusing on continuous improvements, contingencies, and value leadership projects. This position is responsible for providing process solutions and adaptations when needed including guidance for other functions like Engineering (e.g. new equipment). This role performs process assignments as part of a Wet Current Business work team. Requires ability to use and apply extensive knowledge of engineering and process disciplines to execute projects aligned with the business OGSM. Significant cross functional collaboration is expected with scientists and engineers in the Supply and Packaging areas, Product Formulation, Quality and Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 + years in R&D or Engineering development.

    Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Site work experience.
  • Proven creative, value-added, results producer.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 + years in R&D or Engineering development.
  • Bachelor's/Master's/PH.D. in Chemical, Food or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Six Sigma Training


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead test plan development, experimental setup, test execution and data analysis to quantify key process parameters and fundamental mechanisms at factory scale.


  • Adjust and deploy scalable process specifications collaboratively developed with Product Formulators and Supply Engineering to achieve or sustain exceptional product attribute targets and ensure superior product quality and food safety.


  • Provide technical support to product formulation, Q&FS and Supply as part of the Value Leadership agenda (MCC and Primes).


  • Build and maintain networks within the Technology, Product Formulations, Packaging, Engineering, Q&FS and Platform Technology teams.


  • Provide / sustain scalable technology platforms to guarantee business continuity.


  • Proficient with Lean Thinking principles and Value-Added Engineering.


  • Minor Project and Budget responsibilities are required with potential contractor and technician management responsibility.


  • Lead root cause analysis and manage the site escalations.
