Short Description

Bowman has an opportunity for an Engineer III, Mechanical (Oil & Gas) to join our team in Houston, TX.

Purpose

Hold a senior-level position, providing strategic guidance and technical leadership in mechanical engineering.
Responsible for overseeing the mechanical design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving
innovation and excellence in project execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment sizing and selection, alternative analyses and other deliverables.
  • Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership,
    external vendors, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Plan, forecast and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
  • Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
  • Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists,
    studies, reports, BOMs, and designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Four to seven (4-7) years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical principles and practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills - written and verbal
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Strong relationship capabilities
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English


Physical Demands and Working Environment

  • Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasionally outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
  • Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Occasionally local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
