The RoleResearches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Must HaveBachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience;
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Nice to HaveReliability Centered Maintenance Engineering:
- Familiar with US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Plant Systems and Components to include reactor plant systems, steam and electric plant systems is preferred.
- Have good writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Work with multiple customers and organizations, including the US Government and Navy personnel.
- Conduct Reliability Centered Maintenance Analyses using a systems approach that support applicable and effective maintenance strategies to maximize ship mission operational availability while minimizing cost.
