Salary Range: $89,000.00 to $110,000.00

The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range

The Role

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Electrical background required. The individual must possess well-developed analytical/problem-solving skills. In addition, they must be self-motivated and actively seek to use these skills. Experience developing and writing technical documents; strong technical writing skills required. Strong communication skills required. Experience with VCS electrical Rx I&C and propulsion plant systems preferred. Experience interfacing with trades personnel, test organization, quality department and US Navy required.
