Engagement Partner / Principal

Position Summary

The Engagement Partner will provide executive oversight, strategic guidance, quality control review, client relationship management, and technical consultation related to affordable housing development transactions, including LIHTC, tax-exempt bond financing, RAD conversions, and public housing development initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact with MPHA executive management and project stakeholders.
• Provide strategic oversight of all engagement activities.
• Review and approve major financial analyses and deliverables.
• Advise on accounting treatment for development costs, developer fees, ownership entities, and partnership structures.
• Review project financing structures and financial models.
• Participate in meetings with investors, lenders, attorneys, and development partners as required.
• Review final cost certifications, financial statements, audit reports, and tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, IRS, GAAP, and applicable affordable housing regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and training to MPHA staff regarding LIHTC, RAD, bond financing, and development accounting matters.
