About the Role

The opportunity

We are seeking an Engagement Manager to join the Transformation Office and lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that improve how MiniMed operates. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, analytics, and change management.

The Engagement Manager will help shape and drive initiatives across the Quality and Manufacturing functions, with a focus on business process simplification, productivity improvement, cost reduction, functional performance, and the practical application of automation and AI to improve workflows and decision making. This role is designed for a strategy-and-execution leader who can structure ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and drive execution to measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate brings a management consulting mindset and is equally comfortable building the business case, storyline, pressure-testing the analysis, and pushing work through to results.

The Transformation Office plays a key role in helping MiniMed execute major priorities with speed, rigor, and transparency. This Engagement Manager will help convert strategic intent into operational results by leading initiatives that improve operational performance, execution, and long-term scalability.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, action-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. They should be able to move fluidly between executive-level problem solving and day-to-day execution management and be comfortable making sound recommendations even when data is incomplete, directional or evolving.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Transformation leadership
  • Lead high-priority transformation initiatives from problem definition through execution and value realization
  • Build and manage a portfolio of initiatives aligned with MiniMed's strategic priorities, including cost reduction, gross margin improvement, manufacturing productivity, quality performance, and capability development
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear business cases, workplans, milestones, decision points, risk mitigation plans, and success measures
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to identify opportunities to improve performance, accelerate execution, and remove operational friction
  • Support the Transformation Office in driving execution against the company's most critical priorities

Program execution and operating rigor

  • Build and manage cross-functional operating cadences to track progress, manage dependencies, escalate risks, and maintain accountability
  • Drive disciplined execution across multiple workstreams in a fast-moving, matrixed environment
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready updates that clearly communicate status, issues, tradeoffs, and actions needed
  • Help ensure transformation initiatives move from idea to implementation with clear ownership and follow-through

Problem solving, analytics, and business impact

  • Structure ambiguous business problems, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations grounded in data and business context
  • Evaluate opportunities through a lens of value, feasibility, speed, and organizational impact
  • Define and track KPIs, milestones, adoption indicators, and financial or operational outcomes tied to each initiative
  • Facilitate executive working sessions, opportunity-identification workshops, and decision forums to align stakeholders, resolve barriers, and accelerate execution
  • Use analysis to support decision making, pressure-test assumptions, and help leaders focus on the highest-value actions
  • Work effectively with imperfect or incomplete data, combining available facts, sound judgment, and stakeholder input to move decisions forward
  • Help teams establish practical, decision-useful metrics and reporting that improve visibility, accountability, and execution

Cross-functional partnership and change management

  • Work across Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and Data & Analytics to drive alignment and execution
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Support change management and adoption efforts so new processes, tools, and ways of working are implemented effectively and sustained over time
  • Help teams navigate competing priorities, ambiguity, and organizational complexity while maintaining momentum
  • Partner with business and technical teams to identify where automation and digital tools can simplify work, improve decision making, and unlock productivity

What success looks like

  • Transformation efforts translate into measurable outcomes such as cost savings, manufacturing productivity, quality improvement, cycle-time reduction, or improved process performance
  • Critical initiatives are executed with clear structure, stronger accountability, and faster issue resolution
  • Leaders have better visibility into priorities, progress, risks, and business impact
  • Cross-functional teams work together more effectively because decisions, ownership, and governance are clearer
  • New ways of working are adopted successfully and sustained beyond the initial launch

  • Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple functions in a matrixed organization, measuring success against aggressive KPIs
  • Strong analytical and financial skills and comfort using data to drive decisions, identify issues, and track outcomes

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a top-tier consulting firm, transformation office, corporate strategy team, or internal consulting role
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry
