Job DescriptionWe are hiring Systems Engineers to participate in Electronic Warfare Systems development programs in Totowa, NJ. As a Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team focused on modeling, designing, developing, integrating, debugging, testing, fielding, and supporting our innovative Electronic Systems.
Typical Job Responsibilities:
- Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements and operational concepts
- Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering discipline
- Identification of Risks and Opportunities and executing on mitigation strategies
- Identification of System Technical Performance Measures
- Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings
- Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities
- Creation of external and internal interface definition
- Knowledge of model based systems engineering tools and approach
- Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers
- Creation of test plans, test procedures and reports
- Creation and/or review of algorithms
- Analysis of data to inform decision making
- Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests
- Participate in external field and flight tests of our EW Systems
- Participate in constant improvement of the System Engineering discipline
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science or related
- 2-20+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.
Preferred Skills and Education- Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
- Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and/or complex electromechanical products
- Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)
