Full Job Description
Job Description

BAE Systems is developing advanced Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems in support of the Electronic Warfare (EW) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) business areas. These systems are installed across a wide variety of platforms and serve multiple purposes such as situational awareness and intelligence gathering which generally requires precision direction finding (DF) and geolocation of emitters. The Direction Finding and Geolocation Capability Group is a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team which provides engineering talent, technical expertise, and new technology and research to the BAE Systems Electronic Systems Defense Sector.

The Direction Finding and Geolocation Capability Group is looking for an experienced engineer to work as part of a high impact, technically oriented team developing and integrating algorithms to DF and geolocate radar and communication signals. The work will include individual technical contributions on a related range of programs and internal research projects involving simulation, design, development, test, documentation, and deployment of signal processing algorithms for radiolocation.

Technical Responsibilities:
This position will involve leadership opportunities in this expanding high technology group developing new and enhanced location techniques. The candidate will be expected to lead a small group and/or be a contributor on a given program or group of programs containing DF/Geo, RF, and antenna array content. Develop detailed technical computer simulations for complex algorithms and array signal processing. The work will involve contributing to group initiatives such as internal research and development, providing innovation and experience to solve complex engineering problems, simulation tool development as well as guiding and mentoring less experienced engineers and other program personnel.

Other Responsibilities:
Prepare and present technical presentations to peers and internal customers. Support business development efforts. Generate novel ideas and contribute to proposal efforts.
This position is primarily full-time onsite with some flexibility for hybrid options available.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.
