We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineers to function as a SecDevOps Release Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the technical integrity, security, and delivery of software releases. This role serves as the primary gatekeeper for production, blending high-level release orchestration with deep technical governance. You will lead rigorous code and design reviews, manage the end-to-end release lifecycle to enable multiple daily deployments, and ensure all deliverables meet security and compliance standards. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between Systems Engineering, Network Security, and Cloud Operations to ensure predictable, high-quality, and secure software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Quality Governance
- Review Leadership: Lead and enforce rigorous code reviews and system design reviews to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Standards Enforcement: Define and implement coding standards and architectural patterns. Act as the final technical authority and "gatekeeper" before production deployment.
- Mentorship: Guide engineering teams on cloud-native design, failure modes, and secure coding practices.
Release Orchestration & Daily Delivery
- Lifecycle Ownership: Own the end-to-end release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and Go/No-Go decisions.
- High-Frequency Deployment: Engineer and manage CI/CD pipelines to support software releases while maintaining system stability.
- Change Management: Facilitate release planning sessions and enforce change management policies aligned with ITIL frameworks.
- Post-Release Analysis: Lead retrospectives to capture lessons learned and track KPIs such as change failure rate and Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).
SecDevOps & Infrastructure Security
- Pipeline Security: Implement and maintain the automated security tooling (SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning) as specified by the ISSE.
- Compliance Validation: Ensure all release artifacts meet the security baseline and compliance criteria (STIGs, PKI, Cloud Controls) established by the ISSE prior to deployment.

Required Skills and EducationWe are actively seeking Systems Engineers with a minimum of 11 years' experience. Bachelor's or Master's Degrees are preferred in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:
- Experience integrating diverse data streams
- Experience with data transfer tools (Ex: NiFi, Cribl, etc)
- Establishes data standards and acts as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams
- Experience in analyzing complex networks and systems
- Experience in analyzing log data from various network components and operating systems
- Knowledge of the complex environment involving shared networks and multiple security enclaves
- Systems Engineering with network analyst/engineering background
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot data feeds, Splunk familiarization, Python
Preferred Skills and Education- Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps)
- Expertise with Splunk
