BAE Systems is seeking an EMI/EMC Electrical Engineer for our Nashua NH facility.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Develops advanced concepts, techniques and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories.
- Defines and implements EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance for all aspects of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) compliance, including but not limited to EMI/ EMC/ EME/ ESD/ EMP and Lightning.
- Reviews/prepares/modifies EMI control plans, procedures, reports, and seeks opportunities for improved efficiencies
- Participates in Design Reviews, trade-off analysis, and provide all EMI/EMC design control for major programs.
- Directs major test programs and has knowledge of test equipment automation software, TILE, EMC32, Elektra etc.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Skills and Education- 6+ years' experience in electrical engineering product development and testing
- 6+ years' experience in EMI/EMC analysis, testing, and compliance
- 6+ years' experience in Lightning analysis, testing, and compliance in accordance with RTCA/DO-160 section 22 or MIL-STD-461G CS117
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field)
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464
- Experience in EMI/EMC analysis and modeling, product qualification tests and test techniques, and product compliance
- Knowledge of virtual meeting tools such as Webex, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc., in order to accomplish the work of your team
- Ability to obtain & maintain DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
Preferred Skills and Education- Master's Degree in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field)
- Familiarity with typical EMI/EMC and lightning test equipment and control software including oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, EMI receivers, low noise amplifiers, signal generators, high voltage probes, transient generators, etc.
- Working knowledge of RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-461
- Experience with software tools such as Matlab, MathCAD, PSPICE, LTSPICE, and ANSYS HFSS, and other simulation tools
- Previous work experience with reading, interpreting and following: circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and CAD software
- Prior experience with lightning mitigation in systems, or subsystems.
- Possess iNarte EMC Engineer Certification
- Possess Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
