Job Description

Precision Strike is expanding! Due to significant growth within our munitions business, we are seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our precision-guided munitions programs, which are projected to experience substantial rate increases over the next seven-plus years. You will collaborate closely with the Aviation Weapons and Strategic Missiles NPI teams to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.

This position is a hybrid role on a first shift 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Transition: Develop manufacturing process flows and transition plans aligned with AS9145, focusing on risk identification and achieving DTUPC targets.
  • Technical Integration: Partner with engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, testability, and reliability (DFM/DFT/DFR).
  • Operational Leadership: Serve as the Operations Lead, managing cross-functional coordination across design, production, and supply chain to meet program objectives.
  • Lifecycle Management: Lead configuration spins for legacy programs and implement quality control processes to ensure zero-defect delivery and customer compliance.
  • Performance & Risk: Mitigate technical and supply chain risks while monitoring KPIs to optimize time-to-market and launch success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes complemented by electrical engineering expertise to round out the existing team's technical knowledge base.

This employee will be a core team member of the PS Operations leadership organization. Additional roles and responsibilities to include:
  • Support to strategic initiatives
  • Operations support to proposals within the PS portfolio
  • CAM responsibilities (as required)


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations or Engineering
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products on time, within budget, and to customer requirements
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and control budgets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processes


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
  • Experience implementing AS9145
  • Direct Factory Floor Support
  • Experience with FMEA
  • Experience with supply chain management and logistics
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principle
