  • Ensure stamping equipment meets Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews requirements.
  • Train plant personnel as needed.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Program initiatives and develop plant equipment standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Immediate Opening

Starting Salary Range: $83, 559 - $99,547

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. BSc. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or a College Diploma in Industrial Manufacturing.

2. Minimum of 5 years' experience with stamping press equipment and stamping automation.

3. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

4. Experience with various stamping process/press and die workings is preferred.

5. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the use of APQP, CAD, GD&T, PPAP, & PFMEA.

6. Ability to use CAD software.

7. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be capable of managing and leading projects from inception to completion - timing, concept, feasibility, design, construction, try-out, launch, buy-off, budget, prototype programs and engineering changes.

2. Prepares reports, charts, and other documentation required for engineering records and projects focusing on plant Key Performance Indicators.

3. Works closely with other departments and customers to design solutions to improve production processes, reduce downtime, increase O.A., ergonomic design, and economic viability of our operation.

4. Participate in design reviews, equipment buy-offs, process reviews.

5. Coordinate and work with contracted Engineer to ensure that stamping equipment meets all of the Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews (PSHSR) requirements.

6. Assist in training plant personnel when requested.

7. Lead Continuous Improvement Program initiatives, but not limited to, managing layout changes, developing infrastructure, fulfilling improvement requests etc.

8. Develop and maintain plant equipment standards.

9. Prepare capital quotation packages for approval as required.

10. Participate as required in all TS16949 activities such as PFMEA, APQP, and CPMP.

11. Follows and adheres to requirements of current customer quality and environmental management systems standards.

12. Performs other related duties as required.

13. Act as a liaison between Presstran & relevant supplier, troubleshooting process/equipment related issues to eliminate process-induced defects within the facility or/and the supplier.

14. Responsible for implementing TWI on all mechanical reworks and training operators as needed, identifying choice of manufacturing methods & tools to be used.

15. Managing bank-builds for any necessary Eng changes with container concepts and maximizing layout utilization.

16. Coordinate with the CFT to facilitate problem solving sessions for internal Non-conformances and external customer complaints pertaining to Stamping.

17. Must be able to participate in the departmental strategy planning process & developing A3s to facilitate facilitated projects on, but not limited to, digitalization, spend reduction, CT reduction etc.

18. Core member in maintaining end of the line design/layout and ensuring max efficiency is achieved with regards to material delivery, material flow and container utilization.

19. Core member in designing the material conveyance (eg : Blank pallets, stamped FG containers etc.)
