Energy Systems Project Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Job Profile:

Thompson Energy Solutions, the exclusive Cat dealer in Middle and West Tennessee, and North Mississippi, is seeking a Project Manager to join their Energy Systems team in Memphis, TN.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Coordination and Management: Oversee all phases of new projects from purchase order receipt through completion, ensuring seamless coordination of product delivery and customer acceptance.
  • Technical Support and Consultation: Act as a key technical resource for internal and external stakeholders, addressing product application inquiries, ensuring specification compliance, and responding to engineering questions and change requests.
  • Purchase Management: Generate and manage purchase orders with equipment suppliers, while coordinating timely delivery of equipment to job sites.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and control project expenses to maximize profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule Management: Manage project timelines to ensure on-time or early delivery and readiness for startup, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and professional development.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Technical knowledge of diesel engines, power generation, and power distribution systems, including generator sets, system integration, installation, commissioning, operation, repair, paralleling switchgear, transfer switches, fuel systems, exhaust systems, enclosures, and related equipment.
  • 3+ years of industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and excellent communications skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
