Job Purpose and Impact

The Energy Finance Operations, Senior Supervisor leads the team and holds end-to-end accountability for ensuring the operational integrity of complex energy contracts and pricing processes. This role leverages deep operational knowledge to interpret and manage contracts, approve invoices, resolve exceptions, handle escalations and maintain audit readiness. In this position, you will partner closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous process improvements, delivering consistent internal and external experiences while protecting margin integrity and ensuring accurate financial outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own EOT operational integrity by ensuring processes are executed accurately, consistently and in alignment with contractual, business, and control requirements. Leverage broad domain knowledge of processes, practices and procedures to develop solutions for complex customer needs. Serve as the team's first point of contact for process guidance and support complex on cases, including oversight and governance of the utility bill management vendor.
  • Actively partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and successful execution of key processes. Deliver efficient and accurate outcomes that support the profit and loss statement, trading positions and customer pricing including accurate customer transactional margins and service fees.
  • Accountable for contract execution and implementation including new counterparty setup, trade confirmations, contract amendments, signature workflows, and structured archiving to ensure documents are easily accessible for audits, invoice validation and issue resolution.
  • Accountable for end-to-end invoice accuracy, contractual compliance, and completeness, ensuring all customer and vendor invoices are rigorously validated, approved, and issued in a timely manner, with full ownership of on-time payment execution.
  • Prepare and interpret complex reports, analyze results in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and support customer requests and issue resolution with appropriate solutions. Provide additional support for financial close and ledger reconciliations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance related processes, implement improvements, and share best practices across business and functional teams. Lead the implementation of new or improved processes within the EOT scope.
  • Lead and develop the team by providing coaching and making decisions on talent management, including hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. Oversee daily operations and proactively address potential risks or backlogs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of operational or financial process related work experience
  • Experience working within complex matrix organizations and aligning cross-functional leadership to enable strategic decision-making


Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in energy, utilities, or commodity trading environments


Position Information

  • This position is located in Wayzata, MN.
  • This position is hybrid and requires to be on site and minimum travel based on business need.
  • The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
