Full Job Description
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change. Eversource is seeking an Energy Efficiency Analyst who will focus on data, analytics, automation, and program strategy. This role is a critical member of the Energy Efficiency Department and is responsible for helping the department understand performance, forecast results, identify risks and opportunities, prioritize work, and pursue electric and natural gas energy efficiency goals across customer segments and jurisdictions. This is a data-centered, business-facing role within Energy Efficiency. The successful candidate will lead recurring analytics and reporting processes, manage and refine key data products, support management decision-making, guide internal data priorities, and help translate program data into actionable strategy. The role requires strong technical capability, sound business judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with departmental leadership, sales, implementation, and other internal stakeholders. Essential Functions:
  • Lead recurring program reporting, forecasting, analysis, and visualization across our Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Programs.
  • Analyze program activity, identify performance gaps and trends, evaluate pipeline, assess forecast risks, and recommend data-supported strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Build, improve, and maintain analytical tools, automated workflows, dashboards, and repeatable processes that reduce manual effort and improve data accessibility.
  • Lead weekly management meetings focused on data priorities, reporting needs, analytical findings, risks, opportunities, and action items.
  • Prepare weekly department presentation materials, including slide decks, performance summaries, visualizations, talking points, and coordination with presenters.
  • Field, prioritize, and manage ad hoc data requests from leadership and business partners, balancing urgency, strategic value, accuracy, and available resources.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools and automation capabilities to increase productivity, accelerate analysis, improve reporting, and support more effective decision-making.
  • Perform quality control checks, reconcile data anomalies, adapt tracking protocols, and maintain process documentation, so portfolio performance is traceable and reproducible for colleagues and leadership.
Qualifications: Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project coordination skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished materials for leadership audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, charts, reporting, and data organization, required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to prepare presentations, summaries, and business materials that support executive and departmental decision-making.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, Energy/Sustainability, Business, related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Graduate degree or similar experience preferred.
Experience
  • Three (3) plus years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, utility programs, energy efficiency, program strategy, sales operations, operational analytics, or a related field.
