S³ is currently seeking an Enduring Vehicle Manager to support the Maneuver Requirements Division (MRD) of the Maneuver Future Capability Directorate (MFCD) at Fort Benning, GA.
This is not a teleworking position.
Position Description:
The Military Analyst supports the Maneuver Requirements Division (MRD) of the Maneuver Future Capability Directorate (MFCD) at Fort Benning, GA, under U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Command (FCC).
Candidate performs capability gap and DOTMLPF-P analysis to inform requirements for the Army's enduring combat vehicle fleet and develops, writes, assembles, and staffs capability requirements documents, CONEMP, and Basis of Issue Guidance; performs CBA and Materiel Solutions Analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Conducts product research and engineering change proposal (ECP) analysis; and develops COIC and D&OP for operational test events.
• Supports the operation, employment, integration, and sustainment of enduring combat vehicle platforms including the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank across all System Enhancement Package (SEP) variants, the M2 / M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) family, the Stryker family of vehicles (including the M1296 Dragoon and the M1134 Anti-Tank Guided Missile variant), and the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) family replacing the M113.
• Support main armament systems, fire control, day and thermal optics, active, passive, and reactive protection systems, power and propulsion subsystems, automotive and survivability upgrades, and integrated combat capabilities.
• Supports preparation of decision packages flowing through RIB, DIG, CGRB, and AROC forums; coordinates DAP scoring and maintains awareness of emerging materiel solutions through SPAR and POM cycles.
• Will have a good working knowledge of the U.S. Army, its organizational structures with emphasis on Armored Brigade Combat Teams (ABCTs) and Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs), and a basic understanding of Army doctrine and operational concepts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 8 years of experience related to the requirements of this task in the Army or similar organization.
• Graduate of the following DAU courses, or ability to complete within 10 days of hire: RQM 1010, Introduction to JCIDS (formerly CLR 101); ACQ 1010, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (formerly ACQ 101); RQM 1101, Core Concepts for Requirements Management (formerly RQM 110 / RQM 1100); and TST 102, Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation.
• At least two years of experience in Capability Development or Defense acquisition.
• Hands on experience with the enduring family of vehicles which includes: the M1A2 MBT, the M2 / M3 BFV, the Stryker family of vehicles and the AMPV.
• Familiarity with DOTMLPF-P analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other operational software.
• Active DoW Secret security clearance.
• Graduate of the Army Capabilities Development Course (CDC) desired.
• Graduate of the Abrams, Bradley, or Stryker Master Gunner Course desired.
• Prior assignment as a Battalion, Brigade, or higher-level Operations staff officer in an ABCT or SBCT is a plus.
• Familiarity with PAE Maneuver Ground.
