Locations: Ottawa

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hybrid 3days in the office ( Tuesday is a must) +2 days remote

6 months - Potential: High potential of conversion to permanent role

Clearance Requirements: Reliability, Control Goods, and Trade required to start; please note that NATO Secret clearance will be needed to fully perform the role. Will only accept candidates with Citizenship and 10+ years in Canada
Position Summary

The Endpoints Analyst manages endpoint operations, configuration, compliance, and automation across NORAM. Reporting to the Endpoints Service Owner, this role supports desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals while ensuring secure, compliant, standardized, and reliable endpoint environments.

The role provides expertise in endpoint configuration, software deployment, patching, device compliance, and automation using SCCM, Intune, and related tools. It leverages AI, analytics, and automation to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, strengthen security, and enhance employee experience.
This position also supports defense and controlled-environment requirements, including Canadian defense programs and CGP where applicable.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility

Endpoint Operations & Administration
• Support NORAM desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Monitor endpoint health, performance, and compliance.
• Resolve endpoint incidents and service requests.
• Support endpoint technology standardization.

Configuration Management (NORAM Scope)
• Administer SCCM/MECM and Intune or other MDM platforms
• Execute software packaging, deployment, patching, and OS upgrades.
• Maintain configuration baselines and corporate standards.
• Maintain compliance reports, dashboards, audits, and remediation.
• Document configuration processes aligned to ITIL practices.

AI, Automation & Continuous Improvement
• Use AI analytics, predictive monitoring, and automation to identify and resolve issues.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation for endpoint administration.
• Use Copilot, Power Platform, and automation tools to improve efficiency and reporting.
• Reduce manual work through automation, self-service, and automated remediation.
• Support data-driven decisions through AI-assisted endpoint insights.

Endpoint Security & Compliance
• Ensure endpoints meet cybersecurity, regulatory, and enterprise requirements.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and hardening.
• Partner with Cybersecurity on controls, compliance policies, and risk mitigation.
• Support compliance assessments, audits, remediation, and risk escalation.

Canada Defense & Controlled Environment Support
• Support endpoints in Canadian defense, CGP, and clearance-controlled environments.
• Maintain Trade Control, Controlled Goods, and defense security compliance.
• Implement endpoint controls for classified, controlled, or regulated environments.
• Align configurations to customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit evidence and defense compliance reporting.

Device Lifecycle & Asset Management
• Support endpoint forecasting, deployment, refresh, and retirement.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory records.
• Support hardware refresh and modernization projects.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers for device availability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with Endpoints, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Application teams.
• Participate in change management, CAB, and operational readiness activities.
• Provide technical guidance for endpoint projects.
• Communicate issues and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

User Experience & Service Excellence
• Improve endpoint reliability, usability, and employee experience.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes.
• Contribute to knowledge articles and self-service documentation.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach to incidents and changes.

Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language

Education
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications, classes, continued learning and understanding of endpoint technology
Experience
  • 5 years in endpoint administration, desktop engineering, or endpoint management.
  • Experience with enterprise SCCM/MECM and Intune.
  • Experience with software deployment, patching, and OS lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting security and compliance in regulated environments.

Physical Demands
• Move throughout office, lab, and site environments, including between buildings or work areas.
• Lift and transport IT equipment up to approximately 25-40 lbs.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, or reach to install or troubleshoot equipment.
• Set up and support desk, conference room, and peripheral technologies.
• Work for extended periods at a computer workstation.
• Respond quickly to on-site incidents and work occasionally in data closets or server rooms.
• Read technical information, device screens, labels, and documentation.
