Full Job Description
Position Summary: This position leads the implementation, optimization, and integration of EMR systems and healthcare technology solutions, ensuring seamless project management and execution, as well as cross-functional collaboration to enhance clinical and operational efficiency. The EMR & Technology Systems Manger oversees the EMR team, leads company-wide EMR initiatives, and drives system optimization, integration, and large scale change management efforts.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Serve as the organizational lead for the EMR system (eClinicalWorks), overseeing configuration, optimization, and long-term strategy
  • Lead and manage EMR related initiatives, including EMR transitions, upgrades, and large-scale system changes
  • Drive adoption of best practices across clinical and administrative workflows within the EMR
  • Ensure EMR systems meet operational, regulatory, and compliance standards
  • Partner with clinical, IT, ancillary, and administrative teams to drive innovation, optimize workflows, improve quality and patient experience, and ensure successful adoption of healthcare technology solutions
  • Provide structured training and ongoing support for both clinic staff and providers, ensuring effective EMR use, workflow adherence, and successful adoption of new systems and enhancements
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic healthcare technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Act as the system administrator for Luma Health, managing the integration of its digital health products with the EMR system as well as ongoing maintenance and implementation of new features to optimize usage & effectiveness
  • Directly manage and develop the EMR team, including performance management, coaching, and goal setting. Prioritize and delegate team workload to align with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with IT team to coordinate large-scale system EMR upgrades as well as manage technical integration projects with the EMR
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in innovative technology to recommend improvements across Dent systems
  • Other duties as assigned and requested

Skills & Experience Necessary:

  • Experience with eClinicalWorks (or other large scale EMR) required
  • Demonstrated experience leading an EMR transition required
  • Proven experience managing or leading a team required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization


Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Associates Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience


Working Conditions:

  • Minimal/moderate physical effort
  • Prolonged periods of sitting with some bending, squatting, reach above shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, and push/pull
  • Regular fine hand manipulation
  • Associated health risks related to patient exposure including body fluids
  • Requires some lifting usually not in excess of 5-15 pounds
