Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Empower CDS / Lab Systems Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Waters Empower, including system administration, upgrades, and laboratory instrument connectivity. The role will support reliable and compliant operation of Empower within a regulated laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and support the Waters Empower CDS suite, including user/access management, configuration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Support and execute Empower upgrades, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-upgrade stabilization.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrument connectivity with Empower, including acquisition clients/nodes and associated interfaces.
- Perform Lab System Administration activities to ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational continuity.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes in alignment with ITIL processes.
- Execute and document system changes through established Change Control processes within a regulated/GxP environment.
- Collaborate with laboratory users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
Required Skills:- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Waters Empower CDS.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or executing Empower version upgrades.
- Good understanding of Empower instrument connectivity and laboratory infrastructure.
- Experience in Lab System Administration and production support.
Qualifications:- 4-8 years of relevant experience supporting laboratory informatics/CDS systems.
