SummaryMorgan & Morgan is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing Employment Law department. The Employment Law Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. This opportunity can be in any of our offices in the Tampa/St. Petersburg metro area.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigation
- Mostly handling the pre-suit side and assisting senior attorneys once the claim files suit
- Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
- Guide clients through the case process
- Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
- Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
Qualification- Law degree (J.D. / Juris Doctor) from a fully ABA accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association.
- A plus to have experience on wage and hour claims
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
