A bit about this role:

We are seeking an energetic, experienced EmployeeBenefits Manager with a specialized focus on employee health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Reporting directly to the Director, Benefits, you will assist in guiding how our employees experience, understand, and engage with our benefit programs.

While the Director, Benefits oversees overall plan design, strategy, compliance and team development, you will focus on turning those programs into high-impact employee experiences. You will assist in benefit administration, process improvement initiatives, create and deliver benefits-related communications, and build on how to ensure maximum participation, appreciation, and value for our workforce.

Your Responsibilities and Impact will include:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of medical, dental, vision, life, retirement, and voluntary benefits. Act as team support/backup for the Leave Specialist.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, qualifying life events, and dependent eligibility verifications.

  • Partner with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure accurate premium deductions, carrier feeds, and data integrity with a focus on process improvement.

  • Partner closely with the Director, Benefits to translate complex benefit plan designs, policy changes, and coverage details into clear, engaging, and modern communications.

  • Champion the new hire benefits onboarding experience collateral, lead weekly New Hire Benefit presentation, and monitor new hire questions to continuously improve employee understanding and appreciation of the value of their complete benefits package.

  • Constant process improvement including utilization of technology/AI tools in order to streamline and scale.

  • Oversee annual Open Enrollment logistics, system configurations, testing, and vendor coordination as well as execute the communication rollout, creating quick-reference toolkits, hosting informational sessions, and partnering with our benefit consulting team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills and experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in HR, benefits, or corporate communications, with dedicated experience managing employee benefit programs. Extensive knowledge of HSAs, FSAs, High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) as well substantial employee benefit programs knowledge including 401(k), COBRA, and leave administration.

  • Technical Skills:2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within Workday Benefits Administration, technical understanding of Workday business processes, open enrollment setup, coverage updates, integration troubleshooting, and custom report creation is preferred.

  • Communications:Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a knack for translating dense, technical benefits jargon into simple, compelling language.

Salary range: $73,000 - $130,000 annually

The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
