Position SummarySamsung Austin Semiconductor's EHS team is seeking a dedicated Emergency Response Team Manager to provide leadership for sitewide incident management and development of emergency action planning guidelines. Reporting to the Disaster Prevention EHS Sr. Manager, the Manager will develop and execute strategies to prepare for and respond to site emergency hazard incidents/events by developing key emergency action plans and standard operational procedures for incident management. The role requires conducting hazard analyses, supporting comprehensive contingency plans, coordinating training drills, establishing ERT Membership guidelines, developing effective ERT members across all work shifts and business continuity management facilitation.
The Emergency Response Manager is a key member of the EHS Disaster Prevention team for risk reduction and exposure prevention as part of mitigating hazardous incidents, related to hazmat, medical or fire responses. This role also functions are critical for safety related trainings, CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection Hazmat Response, Incident Commander and County Local Emergency Planning Committee engagement
Strong analytical and decision making skills are paramount for this position. Having a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, efficient teamwork, and ability to effectively communicate across the organization are also essential. By championing a "zero-harm" culture and driving continuous improvement of safety-critical processes, the Emergency Response Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding people, the environment, and Samsung's cutting-edge manufacturing operations.
Role and ResponsibilitiesHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:- Drive site compliance by gathering key information, working with stakeholders to develop and implement emergency action plans and related programs.
- Manage and lead EHS Technicians daily work activities and planned objectives.
- Coordinate ERT membership guidelines and create/review emergency response procedures for incident mitigation and control.
- Develop incident command structure for emergency response and ERT member training requirements.
- Perform and/or manage technical duties in the fields of industrial hygiene, safety engineering, environmental sanitation, fire protection and/or radiological health; and perform other related duties as require.
- Coordinate drill activities/exercises with ERT Teams, Williamson County Emergency Management Team and Local Fire Department.
- Develop a dedicated emergency response structure for self-sustained incident management and mitigation control.
Skills and QualificationsHere's what you'll need:- Emergency Response Management and Business Continuity Planning.
- Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment related to emergency incident response/mitigation.
- Hazmat Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification/Training.
- Incident Commander System/National Incident Command System Certification/Training.
- Understanding of risk management guidelines and applicable processes.
- Able to rapidly respond to hazardous spills or employee health emergencies, including administering life saving measures.
- 10+ years' experience required in Emergency Response/First Responder Background.
The current base salary range for this role is between $147,000 - $200,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
