Greensboro Location

Join our collaborative Greensboro-area Emergency Medicine team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic emergency medicine group serving five Cone Health locations across Greensboro and the surrounding communities. APPs rotate across all five sites, gaining experience in a broad range of care settings, including Moses Cone in Greensboro, a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 100,000 annual ED visits; Wesley Long in Greensboro, a smaller hospital environment; two freestanding emergency departments in the Greensboro/North High Point area; and Annie Penn in Reidsville, a rural community hospital.

Role: Everything from triage in the front to most of the acute care patients and procedures in the back. We encourage autonomy and for everyone to work to the top of their license.

APPs will see all patients, low and high acuity. Culture and patient experience is of the utmost importance. This is a great opportunity for job satisfaction with a long term and stable team who takes care of each.

Staff: ~45 Full time APPs and ~50 full time physicians on the roster. There is 1 APP and 1 Physician per 15 rooms on all shifts.

Training: Love new grads with great onboarding program for new grads. They are paired 1x1 with another provider for their first 6 weeks.

Licensure:

Must have NC PA license, BLS, ACLS before starting. Must obtain ATLS after starting.

Schedule: Schedule varies by day of the week, weekend coverage, shift, and location, so flexibility is required. APPs work 10-hour shifts across first, second, and third shifts. Overnight shifts are limited, as most are covered by a dedicated nocturnist team, though occasional overnights may be needed.

Minimum 130 hrs per month (30 hrs per week).
