Methodist Healthcare System is supporting recruitment for a Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team as site Medical Director in Fredericksburg, Texas, which is in the beautiful hill country and just an hour north of San Antonio, Texas.
HCA Hospital Base Services/Methodist Healthcare and its affiliated hospitals in San Antonio are seeking a full-time Medical Director of Emergency Medicine to lead its well-established and highly regarded emergency medicine program. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide physician leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction within one of South Texas's premier healthcare systems.
The Medical Director will work collaboratively with hospital administration, medical staff leadership, and Methodist system leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing clinical excellence, physician engagement, and operational performance across the emergency medicine programs.
Qualified Candidates:
• Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Position Profile:
• 15,000 annual volume
• Current 8-bed ED with 4 bed-expansion underway
• 24 hours daily physician coverage
• Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• Level IV Trauma
• 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
• Meditech Expanse EMR
