Location
This role is onsite in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Your role
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test procedures for embedded software and firmware applications.
- Build, automate, and execute functional, regression, integration, and system-level tests on target hardware platforms.
- Validate firmware functionality, performance, stability, and interoperability across hardware and software components.
- Reproduce, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution while working closely with development teams.
- Configure and maintain test environments, including hardware test rigs, development boards, simulators, emulators, and debug tools.
- Collaborate with embedded software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and drive root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to test planning, test strategy development, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement of test coverage and quality processes.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience testing embedded software, firmware, or embedded systems products throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for embedded devices at the unit, integration, and system levels.
- Experience with embedded hardware platforms, development boards, laboratory test equipment, and debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Proficiency with test automation and scripting using languages such as Python, C/C++, or similar technologies
- Understanding of embedded communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB, or Bluetooth, along with experience troubleshooting hardware-software interactions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile development environments and using defect-tracking tools.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$68,911 to 161,544.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
