Job Summary
The Embedded Software Integration Engineer will support the evolution and integration of body control software and embedded systems across automotive, firmware, and safety-critical platforms. The role requires strong C/C++ and Python development experience, hardware and software integration expertise, system-level troubleshooting, and an understanding of vehicle networking and functional safety. The engineer will translate system requirements into software specifications, validation strategies, and scalable integration solutions while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Candidates must be able to design and visually construct a state machine diagram based on a provided scenario.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the evolution of body control software architecture and define hardware/software interfaces.
• Lead early-stage hardware and software integration and validate system performance against defined requirements.
• Translate high-level vehicle objectives into precise software specifications for body control systems.
• Analyze field data to identify opportunities to refine and optimize body control system performance.
• Collaborate with validation teams to develop comprehensive test strategies for body control functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assess the impact of design modifications across hardware and software components.
• Support functional safety activities including DFMEA and HARA analyses for body control systems.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams across electrical, software, manufacturing, and mechanical disciplines.
• Facilitate understanding of system interdependencies to support seamless integration across vehicle domains.
• Translate complex system requirements into scalable testing, validation, and observability solutions.
• Support embedded system troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, system performance validation, and OTA software releases.
• Design and draw state machine diagrams based on provided system scenarios.
Required Qualifications
