MFC is looking for an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Associate Manager that will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution!

As a Engineering & Technology (E&T) Associate Manager at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world's most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. We are a matrix engineering and technology organization so you will touch multiple programs over your career!

What You Will Be Doing

As an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-Management and development of the team
-Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
- Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.
- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program

It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Basic Qualifications
• Must currently hold an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Other related degree field with significant software development experience
• Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical embedded software systems/programs
• Process Improvement and Affordability experience
• Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring

Desired skills
• Strong software architecture and design experience.
• C/C++/Ada experience
• Linux/VxWorks experience
• DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, Git/Gitlab)
• Agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
• Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
• In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience including Agile EVMS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior Engineering Management
• Proposal Development
• Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
• Strong interpersonal skills

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
