The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility software team develops the autonomy software that powers Proteus, Amazon's first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We are growing and are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our Platform, Data and Tools team. You will be part of an exceptional group of engineers building the platform and architecture for our onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software. In addition, you will collaborate with engineers and scientists across the team to develop and enhance our ML training and deployment pipelines. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Experience in embedded development in C/C++, or experience programming with at least one software programming language PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with CUDA kernels or ML/low-level kernels - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologie - Experience building custom distributions using tools such as Yocto or Buildroot - Experience with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2) or visualization tools (Foxglove, RViz) The base salary range for this position is listed below.
