Job Summary:
As the Embedded Software Engineer for the Energy Applications Team, you will support the development of embedded software for electronics control systems for diesel engine, battery electric, and fuel cell applications. Areas of responsibility include configuration, integration, build and testing of embedded software on diesel engine systems; testing software for embedded electronic control systems includes requirements development and verification of software in a bench environment as well as troubleshooting software or system defects.
What You Will Do:
Software requirements analysis
Software configuration and building
Test plan creation, execution, and documentation
Set-up and configuration of test bench hardware & software
Completion of mandatory and feature specific testing using manual and automated methods
Support of system and software troubleshooting (lab, proving grounds, field)
What You Will Have:

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related study.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience with the following: dSPACE, Git, Trace 32 Debugger, CANalyzer, Cat Electronic Technician (ET), CAN/SAE J1939, Matlab, C, and Python
Prior work experience with Engine or Machine System development
Prior work with configuration, integration, building of embedded software
Experience working with and troubleshooting electrical systems
Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
