Project Overview:Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Job Summary:Assigned to a field engineering organization supporting piping scope. Responsible for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, and support the coordination of safe and quality piping installations. Supporting superintendents, craft professionals, and project teams to ensure work is executed in accordance with design, within schedule, on budget, and aligned with project requirements.
Major Responsibilities:• Promotes and ensures Zero Accident Philosophy in all piping construction activities.
• Supports development of Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and short interval plans for piping scope.
• Prepares and reviews construction drawings, sketches, and field instructions.
• Leads preparation and coordination of work packages and piping installation plans.
• Initiates material requisitions, inspections, and performs quantity takeoffs for piping materials and equipment.
• Verifies installed quantities in tracking systems and supports progress reporting.
• Ensures materials, tools, and equipment are available to support piping installation activities.
• Supports inspection and testing requirements to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Monitors field activities to ensure IFC drawings and approved documents are used daily at the work fronts.
• Coordinates with engineering, superintendents, and craft professionals to resolve technical issues.
• Supports system turnover by developing understanding of system scoping and turnover requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements:Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of piping installation, inspection, and testing practices.
- Understanding of project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) requirements and safe work execution.
- Ability to support work planning, material management, and quantity tracking activities.
- Familiarity with piping drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and construction sequencing on large industrials projects.
- Ability to coordinate with engineering, construction, and other disciplines to resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain progress.
- Ability to perform field inspections in active construction environments.
- Ability to coordinate with engineering, construction, survey, and other disciplines; escalates systemic risks or problems early and clearly.
