Hiring for an Onsite Elementary School Speech Language Pathology Assistant! 

 

Now Interviewing for an Onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Katy, TX!  TX SCHOOL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Local Clinical Manager support
  • CCC or CF 
  • Competitive Compensation ~ W2 Hourly, $40-$45 DOE, direct and indirect compensation, guaranteed hours

Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you assist in implementing evidence-based interventions that enhance students' communication skills and success in their educational environment.

You will work across school settings alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to deliver high-quality support. Responsibilities include evaluating student needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the SLP in conducting speech and language screenings using established protocols without interpretation.
  • Implement speech and language therapy activities designed by the SLP that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the integration of speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum.
  • Prepare therapy materials and equipment for use in classroom and therapy activities as determined by student needs.
  • Document student progress toward meeting established objectives and report this information to the supervising SLP.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology.
  • Assist in organizing classroom activities by preparing educational materials and creating an orderly learning environment.
  • Support early intervening services by participating in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) or response to intervention (RTI) initiatives under SLP guidance
  • Use assistive technology devices for communication as directed by the SLP.
