Position Summary

St. George CCSD No. 258 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as Elementary Principal for grades Pre-K through Grade 8. The successful candidate will provide instructional leadership, foster a positive school culture, support student achievement, and ensure the effective operation of all elementary and middle school programs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision for all Pre-K through 8th grade educational programs.
  • Promote high levels of student achievement through effective instructional leadership.
  • Lead curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation aligned with Illinois Learning Standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff.
  • Support and monitor the implementation of special education services and compliance requirements.
  • Use student performance data to guide instructional improvement and school decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and community stakeholders.
  • Manage student discipline and attendance programs.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and daily school operations.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with General Administrative Endorsement (Type 75 or equivalent Illinois Principal Endorsement).
  • Pre-K through 8 teaching/administrative experience
  • Strong knowledge of Pre-K through 8th grade learning standards and curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of special education programs, regulations, and best practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in educational administration preferred


Salary and Benefits
  • 12 month position

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
