Job Description:

ELECTRONICS SYSTEMS ANALYST

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Performs technical and Life Cycle Support (LCS) to the Surface Sonar AN/SQQ-89 family of Sonar Systems inclusive of auxiliary, power, subsystems, and peripheral equipment.
  • Analyzes technical drawings, manuals, electronic schematics and design documentation to troubleshoot, analyze, repair and maintain electronic components and mechanical systems.
  • Develops, prepares, and provides recommended updates to schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • Has professional engineering experience in analysis, design, development, integration and test of military systems and knowledgeable in system architecture and domain engineering.
  • Setups, configures and troubleshoots computer system networks and associated hardware/software components. Installs software and required software patches, firmware updates and restore computer systems and networks to a fully operational state following procedure completion.
  • Knowledge of thermal management and cooling systems (e.g., chilled water, forced air) for high-power electronics. Understanding of naval structural integrity standards (e.g., shock and vibration, MIL-STD-901D, MIL-STD-167) and marine corrosion mitigation.
  • Has expertise in shipboard power distribution, signal processing hardware, and circuit analysis.
  • Familiarity with acoustic transducer electrical interfacing, cable routing, shielding, and grounding protocols. Provides supervision and assistance to team members as required.

The likely salary range for this position is $73,965 - $98,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
