Job Description
The Combined Orbital Operations Logistics Resiliency (COOLR) Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Satellite System Testbed team seeks an electronic engineer to maintain and upgrade the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) infrastructure. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience with AEHF satellite subsystems.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related degree from an accredited college/university
- 2+ years of professional experience in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering role
- Prior experience with digital/analog electronics (such as design, circuit analysis, etc.)
- Experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g., Digital Voltmeter, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Function Generators)
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software failures
- Experience interpreting and creating electronic schematics
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Active and current Secret security clearance required. Thus US Citizenship is required
Desired skills
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design
- Experience in every stage of the hardware lifecycle: concept, requirements, design, development, integration, and testing.
- Strong understanding of analog components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes, and inductors)
- Strong understanding of digital components (e.g., flip flops, lookup tables, logic gates, shift registers, finite state machines, and memory hierarchies)
- Familiarity with digital serial protocols
- Knowledge in test consoles, cable designs, interface panels and custom chassis
- FPGA architecture and design, with applied knowledge of either the Xilinx, Intel or Microsemi FPGA devices and their associated application environments
- Experience writing custom FPGA RTL using Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL
- Having utilized Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microsemi Libero development platforms to successfully build and test an executable hardware implementation of code which they have written
- FPGA behavioral simulation experience using Vivado XSIM or a similar tool
- Experience integrating FPGA IP with custom RTL is a plus
- Experience integrating hardware such as FPGAs, DIO cards and PCBs with software
- Experience and understanding of software languages such as C/C++
- Experience in design, update, and managing engineering drawings and documentation.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
