Electronics Engineer - Aerospace Test Equipment
Description
Testek Solutions is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware for Aerospace Test Equipment and Industrial Test Systems.
The engineer will design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, PCB, FPGA, embedded, and data acquisition systems. Responsibilities include schematic development, PCB design, component selection, BOM development, hardware bring-up, debugging, testing, and system integration.
The engineer will work closely with Project Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technicians to interpret customer specifications and Scope of Work (SOW) requirements and develop reliable, standardized electronic solutions for custom test equipment.
Responsibilities
Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits for aerospace test equipment.
Create electronic schematics and multi-layer PCB designs using Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar tools.
Develop and maintain accurate BOMs, component specifications, and PCB manufacturing documentation.
Perform electronic component selection and circuit calculations based on customer and engineering requirements.
Design and troubleshoot FPGA-based digital systems using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
Support embedded processor and microcontroller-based hardware.
Design and integrate Data Acquisition (DAQ) and instrumentation systems.
Develop signal-conditioning circuits for voltage, current, temperature, pressure, speed, vibration, RTD, thermocouple, LVDT, encoder, and other sensors.
Design and troubleshoot interfaces including Ethernet, RS-232/485, CAN, SPI, IB2C, UART, ADC/DAC, and digital/analog I/O.
Interface electronic hardware with PLCs, HMIs, PCs, servo drives, VFDs, motors, generators, and load banks.
Perform prototype hardware bring-up, power-up, debugging, calibration, and validation.
Use oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment for troubleshooting.
Support EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, ESD, and electrical noise mitigation.
Assist technicians with PCB assembly, wiring, system integration, and troubleshooting.
Support customer installations, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and field troubleshooting as required.
Develop standardized electronic hardware platforms and reusable designs.
Prepare engineering documentation, test procedures, reports, and design revisions.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project technical, schedule, and quality requirements.
Travel up to 20%.
Required Qualifications
