Standard Job DescriptionThe Cable and Harness Central team is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Harness Engineer who will lead a team of engineers in the development of the Zuken E3 Library database, Cable and Harness Scripts, the transition of scripts from VBS to Python, Database Process improvement and Cable and Harnessing.
Location: This position does not support teleworking. You will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Highlands Ranch, Colorado and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
What does this role look like?
- Understand and provide process improvement with automation for cable and harness design.
- Manage a team of engineers to implement electrical components into the E3 database quickly and efficiently.
- Be responsible to ensure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle. Maintain scripts and create scripts as needed to support cable and harness design.
- Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
- Maintain a working relationship with our Supplier: Zuken.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
- Responsible for performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Participate in technical reviews and audits.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:- Lead over a team of harness engineers and engineering aides.
- Manage and be the SME for the Zuken E3 database for all of LM Space.
- Be the lead E3 Scripter for Zuken E3 Database as well as systems tools.
- Support programs for design release and maintain parts accurately and efficiently to ensure designs are released on time.
- Define the requirements and provide the framework for architecture and interface development & maintenance for scripts
- Manage charging and guidance for employees to support E3 database updates.
- Work on a cross-functional team in the development for 1LMX.
- Participate in 1LMX tasks and efforts to create one database across LM.
- Ensure components are fixed properly and update database as needed.
- You must be able to work autonomously, delivering the work products and being accountable for milestone achievement at a high level of reporting.
- To be effective in this role, you will need:
- Experience with wire harness and cables design of electrical\mechanical interconnects for satellite spacecraft equipment and/or missile systems.
- 7+ years professional experience.
- While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design.
- Experience with CAD design.
- Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills- Knowledge of the cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing).
- Experience with Python, VBS scriptingWorking knowledge EPDM tools or equivalent.
- Exposure to 1LMX processes and team collaboration workExperience with CREO CAD modeling and Zuken.Missile/Aerospace related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Zuken E3 database and library part creationFamiliarity and experience partnering with suppliers
- Ability to communicate issues and additional resource needs to leadership.
- Experience with cable and harness design using standard tools
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with adjacent disciplines.
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
