Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. This role offers an excellent working environment with a mix of cutting-edge electronics packaging design, hands-on prototype development, production support, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You Will Be Doing

The Electromechanical Design Engineer will develop innovative design concepts and provide electromechanical production support across defense programs. Responsibilities may include:
• Designing and developing electromechanical systems and components, including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), harness assemblies, electronic enclosures, and sub-assemblies
• Generating detailed mechanical layouts, 3D models, and engineering drawings, including material, component, and process selections
• Designing and modeling wiring harnesses using Zuken and producing complete Bills of Material
• Creating model-based routing and layout packages that meet size, weight, and power constraints
• Defining acceptance test criteria, performing verification testing, and documenting results in Windchill
• Executing Material Review Board (MRB) actions, updating engineering change records, and maintaining configuration control
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including structural and thermal analysts, configuration management, electrical and mechanical designers, subcontracts, planning, and quality personnel
• Providing technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phases
• Traveling as needed to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities to resolve issues and validate hardware

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience with CREO/Pro Engineer or equivalent 3D CAD software
Basic electrical knowledge and harness/cable design experience
Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Harness and cable design experience
Experience with CREO Cable tool.
Basic understanding of electrical connectors.
Basic understanding of fastening techniques and machining.
Experience with military and industry (IPC, AMSE, ASTM) specifications.
Experience with test equipment for electrical systems.
Must be a US Citizen; must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Experience with Windchill Product Data Management

Desired Skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
