Job Summary

As an Electrification Site Solution Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing customer- or site-facing electrification solutions, covering system definition, key technology selection, integration validation, and deployment support. You will translate business and on-site requirements into implementable engineering solutions, ensuring the right balance among performance, safety, reliability, cost, and manufacturability, while working closely within the E&ES organization and across cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end solution delivery from concept to deployment.

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Mossville, IL
  • Domestic travel is 15% up to 25%, with potential of international travel is required.
  • Domestic relocation assistance is offered for this position.

What You Will Do:
  • Participate in and lead the design and development of electrification site solutions, supporting the full process from requirements analysis to engineering implementation.
  • Translate customer and site requirements into system- and component-level technical specifications, interface definitions, and design solutions.
  • Support solution integration, prototype validation, testing, and performance analysis, and participate in issue troubleshooting and improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with system, electrical, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to advance design reviews and technical decisions.
  • Support technical selection, supplier evaluation, and solution validation for key components and subsystems.
  • Participate in cost, manufacturability, and reliability assessments to ensure the solution meets business objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain solution descriptions, design documents, and test reports.
  • Continuously monitor new technologies and industry trends related to electrification and energy systems and identify opportunities to optimize solutions.


What You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related majors).
  • Product / solution design and development capability: able to complete solution design, validation, and problem solving in accordance with engineering processes.
  • Technical analysis and problem-solving capability: strong structured analysis and systems thinking skills.
  • Cross-team collaboration and communication skills: able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clearly articulate technical solutions.
  • Familiar with engineering documentation, design review, and test validation processes.
  • Strong learning agility and a strong sense of engineering ownership and responsibility.


Professional Skills
  • Experience in electrification, energy systems, or related site solution development.
  • Familiarity with system integration, interface definition, or application-scenario-level testing.
  • Experience in prototype development, on-site validation, or system debugging.
  • Experience in supplier collaboration or cross-regional projects.
  • Understanding of methods related to quality, continuous improvement, or cost control.

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment.
• Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.
• Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems.
• Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs.
• Coaches others how to resolve integration or communications problems in multi-vendor environment.

• Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
