About the JobAbout the Position:We are seeking an Electrical Systems Test Engineer to own validation strategy, requirements, manufacturing test systems, calibration, and test projects. This position will work with the engineering and manufacturing teams and be specifically focused on test strategy, validation, and production test systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in power electronics and test engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality test solutions.
Responsibilities:- Define test strategy for engineering validation, manufacturing, and calibration.
- Lead development of production and engineering test systems.
- Manage internal engineering resources and external vendors.
- Develop test requirements from product specifications.
- Own manufacturing test stations throughout their lifecycle.
- Define calibration methodologies and equipment.
- Lead engineering validation testing and qualification activities.
- Drive design-for-test (DFT) improvements with hardware and firmware teams.
- Specify instrumentation and automated test equipment.
- Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or similar technologies.
- Analyze test data to improve product quality and manufacturing yield.
- Manage test equipment budgets, schedules, and project execution.
- Ensure documentation, traceability, and configuration management.
- Support factory test issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience with power electronics, embedded systems, and analog/digital electronics.
- Proficiency with instrumentation, environmental testing, and calibration systems.
- Working knowledge of Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
- Experience with SQL, Git, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated technical project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:- EMC familiarity and experience with environmental qualification testing.
- Experience with vendor management and manufacturing support.
- Knowledge of risk management and requirements development.
- Experience specifying and integrating automated test equipment.
