Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Location: Hubbard, TX


Job Summary
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing all electrical scopes required to deliver large-scale data center projects on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This role provides leadership and serves as the primary liaison between the project team, electrical subcontractors, vendors, and the client. The Electrical PM leverages deep technical expertise in power distribution, critical systems, and data center infrastructure to drive efficient execution, resolve issues quickly, and uphold Yates' standards of quality and safety.

Primary Duties
  • Lead and administer the project's electrical safety program
  • Ensure superintendents and field teams have the necessary electrical trades, materials, and equipment to execute work efficiently
  • Oversee electrical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support schedule milestones and scope compliance
  • Perform and oversee electrical QA/QC practices to ensure installation meets project specifications and Yates quality standards
  • Complete and communicate daily reports on scheduled activities, progress, and issues to all stakeholders
  • Conduct regular site walk-throughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to standards
  • Identify and resolve electrical field issues, design conflicts, and constructability challenges
  • Lead coordination meetings focused on electrical systems, sequencing, and labor planning
  • Represent the electrical scope during owner meetings and technical discussions
  • Develop and maintain the electrical logistics plan in coordination with the General Superintendent
  • Develop detailed scopes of work for electrical subcontractors
  • Perform constructability reviews with a focus on power distribution, grounding, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical infrastructure
  • Lead preconstruction meetings with electrical subcontractors prior to each phase of work
  • Track field progress against the plan and assist in developing recovery strategies when needed
  • Ensure electrical quality control aligns with the project's QA/QC program
  • Lead electrical close-out activities, including commissioning support, testing, and turnover documentation
  • Coordinate electrical punch list items and ensure timely completion
  • Manage the electrical permit process and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts, including VDC coordination for electrical systems
  • Refuse unsafe work and follow all Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices
  • Report incidents, near hits, and hazards
  • Wear and maintain required PPE
  • Participate in inspections, safety meetings, and required training
  • Support administration of the site safety program and ensure electrical trade partner compliance with OSHA and Yates requirements
  • Provide suggestions to improve safety and demonstrate a mature, proactive safety mindset
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Management to support successful project completion

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent education, training, or experience may substitute for a degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction management experience, preferably in electrical systems
  • Experience managing electrical scopes valued at $50MM+
  • Experience implementing large-scale or complex safety plans
  • PMP certification preferred

Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Proven ability to organize and lead project teams to achieve project goals
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience managing electrical cost reporting, including cash flow, safety, schedule, and VDC integration
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical construction, including medium-voltage distribution, critical power systems, and data center infrastructure
  • Understanding of contract types, terms, general conditions, burn rates, and fee analysis
  • Familiarity with insurance programs such as SDI, BR policies, OCIP, and CCIP
