Here's how an Electrical Project Manager for PCL Industrial Services, Inc. contributes to our team: Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale mission critical and data center projects with a strong emphasis on self-perform electrical construction. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project delivery including planning, execution, cost control, scheduling, procurement, workforce coordination, safety, quality, commissioning support, and client relations. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial or mission critical construction experience, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex electrical scopes in fast-paced environments while driving project performance and team success. Responsibilities 3 Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, field leadership, engineers, and client teams to execute project objectives. 3 Lead and manage self-perform electrical scopes including: 3 Medium- and low-voltage power distribution 3 Underground duct banks and grounding systems 3 Electrical equipment setting and installation 3 Cable tray and raceway systems 3 Power, control, communications, and instrumentation systems 3 Commissioning and startup support 3 Develop and execute project strategies focused on safety, quality, schedule certainty, and cost performance. 3 Monitor and manage project performance including labor productivity, equipment utilization, material tracking, forecasting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. 3 Lead project reporting processes including labor reports, cost forecasting, schedule updates, progress tracking, document control, and change management. 3 Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to reduce schedule, commercial, and operational impacts. 3 Manage all change orders including pricing, negotiations, schedule impacts, and client coordination. 3 Lead effective meetings with clients, engineering teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders while ensuring clear and timely communication across all levels of the project. 3 Support project planning and sequencing activities, including manpower forecasting, work packaging, commissioning readiness, and turnover planning. 3 Mentor, coach, and develop project engineers, coordinators, and field teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. 3 Coordinate closely with safety and quality teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards. 3 Support business development and preconstruction efforts including estimates, proposals, presentations, constructability reviews, and client pursuits. Qualifications 3 Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent electrical trade or field leadership experience will also be considered. 3 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects within industrial, mission critical, power, or large commercial environments. 3 Experience managing self-perform electrical scopes on data center or mission critical projects strongly preferred. 3 Strong understanding of: 3 Medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems 3 Electrical construction means and methods 3 Construction sequencing and project controls 3 Commissioning and startup processes 3 Labor productivity and workforce planning 3 Proven ability to manage complex projects with aggressive schedules and multiple stakeholders. 3 Strong understanding of contracts, risk management, cost control, forecasting, and change management. 3 Ability to lead project teams and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, craft professionals, and executive leadership. 3 Experience with scheduling, estimating, and construction management software platforms. 3 Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 3 Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities. 3 Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
