Responsibilities

  • Conduct new product engineering activities according to CPDM standards.
  • Review designs for manufacturability including FAB/PCBA processes.
  • Structure and manage BOM risks effectively.
  • Implement design experiments and debugging procedures with technical expertise.
  • Assess and review manufacturing process failures and engage in FMEA reviews.
  • Create and release thorough product documentation and analyses.
  • Engage early in value engineering to influence design and process changes.
Full Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Experience 5-8 Years 12 Years Max
  • Electrical Product Engineer provides new products and on-going engineering (including DFM) for a specific product or group of products from pre-concept commit through end of life.
  • For new products, this individual will Interfaces with design (hardware and mechanical), process,test, and reliability engineering to solve problems and ensure cost avoidance and quality at FCS.
  • For sustaining products, this individual will focus on cost reduction and design related yield improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform New product Engineering / Product sustaining engineering activities per the CPDM process.
    • Perform Design for Manufacturing review (FAB/PCBA) BOM structuring and BOM risk Management. Design tools proficiency (Valor, schematic, CAD, other CAE tools) Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE/EFA Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps, Mfg. (Process) FMEA review Design FMEA engagement and review Creating, analyzing, and releasing product documentation Value engineering - Engage early with Component Engineering, GSM and Hardware engineering and influence on component selection, process efficiency, and design changes Cost avoidance (pre-A0) and sustaining cost reduction Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc) Design diagnostic analysis and input / influence
Salary Range: $63,400-$100,000 a year#LI-CM2
