OverviewFreedom Source, a subsidiary of Suffolk Construction, is seeking highly organized and strategic Electrical Procurement Manager to lead the direct sourcing and procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services across construction projects in various market sectors. This role involves managing vendor relationships, conducting market analysis to secure competitive pricing, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architectural, preconstruction, and project teams to support successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for electrical materials and services in coordination with internal
- Identify and pursue new procurement and revenue opportunities to support company
- Evaluate and mitigate risks by partnering with reliable, high-quality vendors and
- Oversee daily operations of the electrical procurement team, ensuring efficiency and
- Review and validate electrical contractors’ bills of materials and labor bids for completeness and
- Analyze and compare vendor quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Perform material takeoffs, cost estimates, and pricing for current and upcoming
- Collect, review, and submit product submittals in accordance with project
- Prepare detailed product lists and quantities for purchase orders and change
- Negotiate terms, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials as per project
- Approve and monitor invoices to ensure alignment with procurement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners to support the delivery of Freedom Source materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field; Electrical Engineering degree strongly
- 5-7 years of experience with an electrical contractor or general contractor, ideally in a procurement or project management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical procurement or a closely related discipline within the construction industry.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented
- Familiarity with construction project workflows and procurement software is highly
- Adaptable and responsive to changes in industry trends, market conditions, and project
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
