Electrical Manufacturing Project Lead

Location: Marietta, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: Starting at $120,000/year (higher compensation available based on experience)
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Project Lead to oversee custom industrial equipment projects from initial planning through final delivery. This role is responsible for coordinating engineering, procurement, production, quality, and logistics activities while serving as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and experienced in managing complex engineered products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead custom equipment projects from requirements review through engineering, manufacturing, testing, shipment, and project completion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and provide regular project updates
  • Partner with sales, application engineering, design engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure successful execution
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules while monitoring key milestones
  • Establish realistic production and delivery timelines based on material availability and manufacturing capacity
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and track action items through completion
  • Manage engineering revisions, customer change requests, and schedule adjustments
  • Coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT), documentation packages, and shipment readiness
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track
  • Maintain project reports, delivery metrics, and schedule performance data


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, or electromechanical environments
  • Experience managing custom-built or engineered-to-order products
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, order management, and long-lead material planning
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with power distribution equipment, including switchgear, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), Remote Power Panels (RPPs), Static Transfer Switches (STS), or UPS systems
  • PMP certification or progress toward certification
  • Familiarity with UL, NEC, ANSI, or other electrical industry standards
  • Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer witness testing
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
