Electrical Field EngineerSalamander Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to support our field installation, commissioning, and servicing of downhole heater systems and associated surface electrical equipment. This is a hands-on field role suited for professionals with oilfield electrical experience who want broader technical exposure and direct influence on field execution.
This position requires on-site presence.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Install and commission low- and medium-voltage equipment (HCU, transformers, junction boxes, cabling)
- Support system startup and commissioning activities
- Oversee or support medium-voltage splicing and terminations
- Troubleshoot recurring electrical issues and implement practical field solutions
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled testing
- Provide on-site technical guidance to customers and field crews
- Contribute to improving field procedures and equipment reliability
Minimum Qualifications:- 3-7 years of oil & gas electrical field experience
- Experience with control panels, switchgear, PLC and/or SCR systems
Core Competencies:- Medium-voltage splicing and termination exposure preferred
- Background in service company, operator, downstream, onshore or offshore environments
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30-60%, project dependent)
- Technical or engineering degree preferred, strong field experience highly valued
