Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic-minded Estimator to be a part of our estimating team in delivering exceptional results on construction projects. This role requires expertise in cost analysis, standard industry installation practices, and value engineering to ensure an accurate and complete cost estimate.

Position Details
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to review and refine project requirements and identify major cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify potential cost-saving metrics and value engineering opportunities.
  • Leverage industry baseline knowledge of labor and material costs to provide informed recommendations for optimizing project cost performance.
  • Be involved in discussions with project team to discuss value engineering ideas and strategies for achieving cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive estimates and cost breakdowns for projects, documenting assumptions, methodologies, and rationale behind estimate calculations.
  • Generate detailed reports and presentations summarizing estimate findings and cost-saving analyses.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimating processes, project documentation, and historical data for future reference and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Master Electrician license and/or field experience in lieu of a degree is also acceptable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or equivalent role in the commercial construction industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Accubid Anywhere estimating software and Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and estimation.
  • Electrical BIM experience is preferred, but not necessarily.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry labor and material costs, with the ability to analyze and interpret cost data to inform estimating decisions.
  • Strong understanding of value engineering principles and strategies for achieving cost-effective solutions in construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of construction estimating
