Electrical Engineer Project HireThe Corporate Real Estate Operations group is responsible for day-to-day facilities operations, capital planning, and engineering operations of owned and leased facilities to ensure business is conducted in a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and that the value of Company physical assets is protected and enhanced, adhering to the highest level of engineering standards.
A day in the life of an Electrical Engineer...- Provide a technical resource for Disney Corporate Real Estate Operations for all corporate properties' electrical and critical power systems.
- Provide engineering services to in-house project teams, clients, and third party consultants as it pertains to design, development, testing/troubleshooting, documentation, programming, and sustaining of all electrical and critical power systems throughout the portfolio.
- Responsible for electrical design, development, installation, and commissioning for all electrical and critical power systems.
- Supervise third party MEP consultants in regard to electrical design / power calculations / facility resiliency and system redundancy
- Assist in critical system design (studios / broadcast spaces / data centers, etc.)
- Develop, review, and interpret electrical drawings to support projects.
- Recommend and implement engineering changes to accommodate BU requirements
- Provide technical support for capital improvements and forecast expense and capital budgets regarding the service contracts and end of life capital predictive maintenance
- Review new project designs for adherence to Company's Energy Goals
Here is what you will need to be successful in the role.- +5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, both with internal staff and with outside entities (e.g. Studio, WDI, Vendors)
- Meticulous, detail orientation
- Ability to work under deadlines and short notices
- Ability to think "on your feet" and troubleshoot problems quickly
- Experience in electrical system design
- Experience in Utility, Critical Power Plants, and Lighting Controls
- Experience in instrumentation (electronic devices, power supplies, relays, contact blocks), start-up, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Basic knowledge in Facility Control Systems, Building Controls, and Energy Management Systems, Facility Maintenance Management Systems
- Strong computer skills - MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam REVU.
Education is important to us, here is what we are looking for...- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
It would be a plus if you had these skills...- Revit
- Professional Engineering license

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $115,500 to $154,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
