Full Job Description
TITLE: Electrical Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To support the plant operations through design, build, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical systems throughout the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum B.S degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good administrative abilities
  • Proficient in computer and software applications
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems, including but not limited to temperature controls, AC/DC variable speed drives, PLCs, HMIs, computers, motor control centers, tension controls, and power systems.
  • Recommend, coordinate, and manage all aspects of improvement projects throughout the plant, including project cost controls.
  • Understand and implement designs from technical drawings and documentation.
  • Interact and evaluate contractor/vendor quotations using verbal and written communication.
  • Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems, and develop solutions.
  • Gather, review, and analyze data to generate reports for management.
  • Test and repair electrical/electronic devices.
  • Develop and conduct training for installation, repair, and maintenance procedures.
  • Supervise and support technicians and production personnel as needed.
  • Train electrical technicians in all aspects of maintenance responsibilities.
  • Ensure all work within the plant adheres to NEC standards.
  • Be available for emergency call out and on-call rotation.


WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily temperature conditions.
  • Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather.
  • Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
