Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Leads engineering work related to complex electrical systems, circuits, and control architectures. Provides technical leadership on projects, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and safety requirements while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional engineering activities.

Key Deliverables of the Position:

1) Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical circuits, subsystems, or control systems.

2) Develop detailed engineering solutions that meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

3) Validate designs through simulation, prototyping, and testing.

4) Lead development of electrical test plans and support verification activities.

5) Mentor junior engineers and review engineering work for accuracy and quality.

6) Support engineering reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

7) Coordinate with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical designs.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 4-6 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical design, analysis, and engineering standards
  • Works under minimal supervision

Technical Competencies

1) Advanced electrical system design knowledge and familiarity with circuit design

2) Electro-mechanical actuation experience

3) BLDC motor and solenoid sizing and performance characterization

4) Electrical simulation, testing, and validation including components and systems containing electro-mechanical actuators, motors, and solenoids

5) Familiarity with System Safety Assessments

6) Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., DO-254, IPC, or similar)

7) Advanced troubleshooting and system integration

8) Technical mentoring and project leadership

9) Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects, including supplier activities

10) Proficient Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Catia and Matlab/Simulink preferred.
